How to Join Mensa
New Members:
Joining Mensa is very easy. The only criteria for membership is to score in the top 2 percent of the
population on any standard intelligence test. The details of where and when you can take the Mensa test can be found on the testing page, and the Mensagenda calendar, (if there is testing scheduled for this month).
Although the Mensa test is fun and rewarding, you may not even need to take the Mensa test. Certain other IQ tests which you may have already taken, are also accepted for membership qualification. These tests, and contact information for the various companies which record the results are listed on the testing page.
Once you've taken the test and proven your eligibility, sending in your membership dues will usher you
in as a new Mensan. You will then be assigned to a local chapter, such as Minnesota Mensa.
Simple, right? If you still have questions, the Membership Officer would be glad to talk to you.
How do I re-instate my membership?
Want to come back to Mensa? It couldn't be easier! American Mensa accepts online renewals, and you can pay by credit card
right on their secure site.

You can choose whether you receive your Mensagenda electronically only or as a hard copy. When you sign onto the American Mensa website you go immediately to a page of your personal information. Click on "Update this information."
On the bottom of the next page you will see a box followed by: "I would like to receive publications electronically if available. I will not receive these publications via regular mail."
Change the box to your preference and submit. It does take about a month to update.
